The Numbers Tell the Story
Update: January to October 2025 - we have rescued and vetted 57 souls from the streets of Puerto Rico from the Rainforest to the Cities! Many have already made their way to the mainland and have found their families. We work with Shelter partners to assist with the placement of our rescues. There are a few waiting their turn at the moment and we project that we will have rescued and saved 70 lucky pups and kitties in 2025
Finances
So far we have raised and spent just short of $25,000. EVERY penny has to be raised and so we constantly find ourselves thinking about how to finance the work that we do. Please be generous if you can, there is a DONATE button right on this website.
We are a 501(c) 3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible.

Wags 2 Riches - Crucial Work
Our Story
Wags was born out of a trip to Puerto Rico by it's founders where they came to understand that there was a great need to help the street dogs and cats on the island that were being horribly neglected, and worse, often abused.
Our Programs
Wags 2 Riches brings approximately 4 - 6 animals into our care on a monthly basis . We become responsible for every aspect of their care. We are grateful for the many fosters in Puerto Rico that partner with us and are always hoping for more so that we can rescue and care for even more pups and kitties. The scarcity of foster homes is a huge restriction on this work. If you are in PR and would be interested in partnering with us, please reach out to us.
Our Impact
Since 2015 we are proud to say that we have rescued and rehomed more than 1,000 dogs and cats in the New England Area. All of our rescues go home with a letter from us letting their new families know where they came from. If you think your baby came through our hands and you have not been in touch with us, we would TRULY love to hear from you to know how your pup or kitty is doing. We can often tell you more about them and their origin and can sometimes connect you with the person that rescued them off the street or fostered them in Puerto Rico before they flew north to find you!

Help Us Help Them
All the funds that we raise through donation are used to pay the direct costs associated with rescuing, vetting and neutering these beautiful animals. None of the directors at W2RDR draws a salary and we are entirely voluntary so we have no costs for paid staff or overheads.
Every single penny we raise is spent on the care of our rescues from Puerto Rico.
